As I was strolling down the quiet streets of Letchworth Garden City (UK), I walk along a hole in the pavement. I pass it and then I come back, realising its odd shape. I think someone did it on purpose, even if that someone was nature.
A man faces the dilemma of returning home or remaining in Orphalese, his adoptive land:

Magnolia for me means the beauty of spring. After the cold is gone, pink and white magnolias are blooming and from the moment you see them you know winter is truly gone until, well, it comes back. There are also the gypsy ladies selling withered wild flowers, like snowbells and violets. But Magnolias are above us all, magnificently watching from the trees; there to greet us before anyone else.
